Production Introduction

The Crankshaft Ductile Cast Iron is a complex and important part of the internal combustion engine. Without it, the chemical energy of the fuel cannot become the driving force for the vehicle to move forward.


When Crankshaft Ductile Cast Iron works, it is subject to the periodically changing gas pressure in the cylinder, the inertial force of the crankshaft connecting rod mechanism, torsional and bending stress and impact force, etc. When the engine is working, the load on the crankshaft is divided into static load and dynamic load, and the torsional bending load is very large. The working temperature is very high and the temperature will drop if the piston is pressed down. Therefore, it is under a temperature-changing conditions. The lubricating oil is needed on the surface; technicians should determine the performance of parts on the basis of a comprehensive analysis of the working conditions.


Therefore, the material used for the crankshaft should have the following performance: high strength (to cope with various loads and other external forces), impact toughness (to cope with the impact of the connecting rod) and bending and torsional fatigue strength (to be able to withstand large bending moments and torques and work for a long time), the journal must have high hardness and wear resistance (so that there will be no premature shape change due to friction).
